What Bradfordville homes are dealing with

Bradfordville has a mix of building stock, but a good share of it is newer construction along and off the Thomasville Road corridor, built with steeper-pitch roofs and dimensional shingle rather than the flatter 3-tab common in older parts of Leon County. Steeper pitches drain faster, which helps, but they also catch more direct exposure on the north and northeast slopes where sun never fully dries the surface between rains. That is where the streaking shows up first and worst.

The tree canopy here is heavier than in the older grid neighborhoods closer to downtown.
